Elect Lady Dorothy L. Duncan

Evangelist Dorothy Duncan is the First Lady of the Lansing Church of God in Christ, Home of the New Faith Ministries and Elect Lady of the Michigan Southwest Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

She is a powerful and faith-filled Woman of God and a Prayer Warrior-Extraordinaire. She has a unique way of capturing the hearts and attention of many, as she shares the Word of God and her experiences through her God-gifted teaching methods. She dearly loves and humbly serves the people of God and is affectionately esteemed by her church family as the “Fragrance of the House.”

Evangelist Duncan is the daughter of the late Superintendent Bobby and the late Evangelist Dorothy Moore of Battle Creek, Michigan. She is married to the joy of her life, Bishop Samuel Duncan, Jr., and is the mother of their two children, Pastor Samuel “Cisco” (Evangelist Benita) Duncan, IV, Lady Shayla (Pastor Sheldon) Thomas; and, the grandmother of four “blessed” grandchildren - - Madison, Kennedy, Sheldon, and Shaden.

Evangelist Duncan graduated from the Albion Public Schools Lansing Community College, Michigan State University and the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary; holding a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership.

Evangelist Duncan serves in various ministerial capacities that include: International, Jurisdictional and Local Prayer Intercessor; President of the Annual Prayer Zenith; Director of the WOM Ministries (Women on the Move); Jurisdictional Pastors, Elders and Deacons Wives Ministries President; Director of the Lansing COGIC Women’s Department and is the founder of the Secret Sisters Ministries. In addition to the many spiritual hats she adorns for the kingdom, she faithfully oversees and serves the women in her local church in the Ladies Inspired Kingdom Excellence (L.I.K.E.) Ministry.

Evangelist Duncan has a passion for praising the Lord as has dedicated her life to serving God evidenced by her sincere determination to encourage and inspire women, children and youth across denominational levels. Her wise counsel is sought by many and those who know her do safely trust in the God in her. Although she cherishes her husband, loves her family and the people of God, her sincerest desire is to please the Lord and always walk upright before Him.
